Drove the car in the shop and had a flashing light up front.
Flipped the switch and the other front one flashed. Turned
the emergency flasher switch on and both front lights blinked.
Not sure why I did, but turned the engine off. Turned it back
on and no more blinking.
That result would make me suspect the ignition switch. I don't have a
circuit diagram for your car, but I'd bet that one of the circuits that the
ignition switch powers is the turn signal circuit. You may have a bad set
of contacts there.
