Hey All,
Well, those of you who thought it was the flex lines can stop patting yourself on the back. Had the entire system buttoned up, the pedal was high and firm, but the brakes were dragging. We were able to pull the MC off the booster without disconnecting any of the lines (which also indicates that anything that changed wasn't due to air in the lines), removed both shims, and got the same exact symptoms as we had originally. Pulled the MC again and added one single shim, and the pedal is better, and the brakes are not dragging. These shims are maybe 1/16" thick. No shims, pedal sinks to the floor. Two shims, pedal is high but dragging. One shim, everything seems fine. I never would have believed it. I've swapped MC's on Milanos and GTV6's plenty of times, and never even knew they could be shimmed.
