Colin,
The Spica system in the 1978 Spider has only one electric fuel pump and
it is external to the fuel tank. The diagrams in the AROO Spica Tech
Notes show an in-tank additional pump only on 1980-81 models. Hope this
clears the confusion.

Sorry to be so confused about these things, but
Can someone just tell me for certain:
Does my 1978 Alfa Spider have one fuel pump or one fuel pump? Is there a
secondary pump in the tank or not? I keep getting contradictory information.
