I have no problem with the format you have suggested and if you want
to set up the svn tree I will support you.
The packages/patches extraction into a common format will go a long
way towards modular coding of jhalfs.
Could you expand on the 'function as a file' idea. Do you mean to
code 'book download' 'package download' 'patch download' 'config vars
validation' etc. as files in COMMON or inside each book directory.
