I've attached a couple reports for you to look at if you want. One from
before the ram fix and -j3 and one after.

Some crazy build-time differences.. 33m for gcc-pass1 before but only 7m
after. And I'm pretty certain I didn't have anything else running in
the background. Mayhaps I did though or am just missing something.

Finally, my recent build really did take about an hour and a half, so
the calculations are more or less accurate.

Some quick diff info:

-Book version is: SVN-20060503
+Book version is: SVN-20060509

-BUILDDIR: </home/rjjb/dev/jhalfs-2639/testLFS>
+BUILDDIR: </home/rjjb/dev/jhalfs-2675/testLFS>

processor 0..
-bogomips : 5207.21
+bogomips : 13534.57
        - this seems kinda strange,
but that's what /proc/cpuinfo is reporting now.

Memory..
total used free shared buffers cached
           905064 535056 370008 0 144688 143224
