You guys can thank someone for commenting that LFS and CLFS can't be built side by side for comparisons. Hence the reason for the change. So all the variables went from LFS to CLFS and to keep things consistent we changed the entire book to match these changes including the user. Also, is ALFS going to be ready for the 1.0.0 release in a few weeks?
If you have not made too many changes it should be ready. I have 2 days before the missus wants to go on vacation so I will try a fresh x86 builds. (I had the option of going on vacation or singing tenor in the Vienna Boy's Choir")

Also to give you guys a heads up, we are going to be maintaining 3 different books under CLFS

1.0.0 - As you see today
2.0.0 - Sysroot build of a system
3.0.0 - Embedded Systems
Are the 3 books going to remain discreet documents or do you see them merging into one in the future. (waaaay in the future please) I have already done some preliminary work on the sysroot book. Should I start thinking about CLFS-S and CLFS-E scripts for 2006.

Right now 2.0.0 is only setup for ARM. 3.0.0 is going to start developing after 1.0.0 is released, but this build will be strictly a busybox uclibc system via a sysroot style build.
