Hi Guys,

Remember I mentioned that jhalfs seg faulted on me last time round?

Well, last night I downloaded version 2.0 and started a new build - went to bed! This morning the build had stopped at:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 Building target 056-stripping
[++|./progress_bar.sh: line 45: 30008 Segmentation fault sleep .12 sec

 Target 056-stripping OK
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My host is a pretty recent LFS (based on svn-20060516 with a 2.6.16.16 kernel)

I have built "lots" of LFSs on this box (since about lfs 3.x) and lots of blfs too. I'm pretty happy about the h/w :-) it seems very stable.

Running top whilst jhalfs is running give me:

top - 10:12:18 up 3 days, 18:57, 2 users, load average: 2.15, 1.68, 0.83
Tasks: 67 total, 4 running, 63 sleeping, 0 stopped, 0 zombie
Cpu(s): 83.9% us, 13.8% sy, 0.0% ni, 0.0% id, 2.3% wa, 0.0% hi, 0.0% si

Swap: 530136k total, 88716k used, 441420k free, 121360k cached

PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
22233 root 17 0 3352 2328 656 S 30.5 0.9 0:00.93 make
22304 root 19 0 8080 3076 1660 R 0.3 1.2 0:00.01 cc1
    1 root 16 0 1468 424 400 S 0.0 0.2 0:00.46 init

The last time this occured I restarted make and it ran to conclusion with no further errors. I have restarted it again and I expect the same will happen again. I will report back if it re-occurs.

Hope this helps someone.

Thanks again,

Alan
