Well, maybe William Harrington is still using it from time to time... He can fix the book... Even if the git urls are broken, it is always possible to use a local copy of the book. Having the CLFS code does not increase maintenance overhead. All in all, I wouldn't touch it. And if Jeremy wants to make the code more modular, having the CLFS code is a good example of the problems to be solved...
