I disagree with you here.
The last digit 89 is the total number of calves after 12 years.
The she-calves with age 0 will be 89 - 55 = 34

Lets revise:
At the end of first year: no of cows: *1* (parent cow) : *First* Fibonacci
Number
At the end of second year: no of cows: *1* (parent cow, now 1 years old):
*Second
*Fibonacci number
At the end of third year: no of cows: *2*( parent cow, plus her she calf):
*Third* Fibonacci number
At the end of fourth year: no of cows: *3*(parent cow + older she calf +
younger she-calf): *Fourth* Fibonacci number
At the end of fifth year: no of cows: *5 *( parent cow(+her newborn calf) +
older she calf(+her new born calf) + younger she calf now one years old ) :
*Fifth* Fibonacci number
..

Hence the Fibonacci number is representing the total number of she calves at
the end of every year.
Am I wrong?
