Thought some may find the following blog entry of interest.
I’ve been using Bluetooth APTX devices for 2 years now and they range from the 
B&W T7 portable speaker to my Sangean DDR66BT Music System to the Rotel A14 
amplifier I wrote up here several months ago.
When I started using APTX the sound I got was indeed a revelation but perhaps 
not so much now given that I’m used to it.
I’ve not yet heard the B&W PX headphones mentioned in this blog posting but I 
will listen to them, the PX are rated as some of the best sounding Bluetooth 
headphones on the planet right now and they don’t have those annoying touch 
screens and pads that so many manufacturers are opting for now.
For those interested in noise cancelling the PX have an App where you can 
manually adjust the noise cancelling functionality to exactly fit the 
environment you’re in but enough of all that, here’s the link
