I also would like to know (using VLC) if you can go to a specific place in a file) so let's say you've been listening or watching a file, but don't have time to take it all in: can you issue a command so you can pick up right where you left off the next time? You can do this in Winamp (may be other players where this can be done) so am wondering if VLC will allow for that? Tom Kaufman
