Thanks Tim.  That sure did it.  Full of funny burbles but good enough to learn from.  And GoldWave retains the stereo separation.  The victor reader mixes it when it's not the normal speed.

I'm using GoldWave under Windows 10 and NVDA.

Seems like, in the past, I could change the speed/tempo of a music
without changing the pitch.  Can someone tell me what menu item I should
attack to do this?  Easier to learn a tune if I can slow it dond.  Thank
