Hm. Ok. SO at least we know this thing is actually coming from winamp, sort of. Yeah must bea setting to disable. Don't know what it is, but yes disabling network access would certainly stop it. What winamp version?

There's got to be a more specific setting than that should help though. You might still want Winamp to access the net occasionally (it can still play some audio streams etc) and it sounds like some ad is popping up from somewhere.
