The blue background color results, like you have suspected, from the collision
of two different styles both called "default". So there is nothing we can do
about this. If you alter styles better naming would do it.
After pasting to writer the font ins not 10 pt Arial centered anymore but
Bitstream Vera Serif 12 pt left aligned in my case.
Reproducible.
