2005 -------
My distribution is Debian Sid and OOo I have from .deb package.

I have installed: KDE, CUPS and OOo.

In CUPS I have printer, named C510, which is pointed to Lexmark Optra C510.
Spooling works OK.

Now I defined as root in oopadmin printer called LexmarkC. I've picked up
driver 'Lexmark Optra C' and printing line is set to 'lp -d C510'. I've set
for this printer some parameters, especially print to 'A4' format.

When I open print dialog under oowrite, I've seen printer with name 'C510'?
This is my first question: why I cannot pick up LexmarkC printer, as I defined
in the oopadmin utility? But OK, this is not critical...

Whenever I open printer dialog, I must correct 'printer format' value to
'A4' (system has default value 'letter', and I cannot search, where I can set
my default value. BTW: In CUPS system I have picked up printer format 'A4'
too. OK, this is not critical too, but not very user friendly...

But error is, that I have picked up format 'A4', and in the generated
PostScript is defined Letter. :-((((

Thanks for tips.

Any questions are welcome...

Sincerely
Jan Marek
