Ok, here comes an example file which contains what I tried to do and gives the
resulting outcome. Probably the comparison of Euro and pounds made the issue
more complicated than needed. Basically my issue is that pounds can be entered
as "2.34" with a dot if one chooses the correct setting (language+currency=UK)
but the dots can not be used in a formula like "=3.34+2.45" because OO tries to
interpred the input as a "NAME".
