linux sparc builds ok with epm formats such as deb or portable but fails with
rpm. rpm did build ok for SRC680_m61 but not for m65-67-71s1-72'
the full message is attached. i am using unpatched epm and the final packaging
is done in a sparc32 shell such that uname -m returns sparc not sparc64.

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/ooo/instsetoo_native$ epm

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/ooo/instsetoo_native$ which strip
/usr/bin/strip
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/ooo/instsetoo_native$ strip --version
GNU strip 2.15

full build log file is attached, in summary:

######################################################
epm call for openofficeorg-core

Systemcall (Try 1): /usr/bin/epm -v -f rpm openofficeorg-core /home/jim/ooo/ins
/usr/bin/strip: /home/jim/ooo/solver/680/unxlngs.pro/bin/functions: File format
--targetsparc: unknown option

/home/jim/ooo/solver/680/unxlngs.pro/bin/functions
strip: /home/jim/ooo/solver/680/unxlngs.pro/bin/functions: File format not
recognized

why strip functions (it is a shell script)?
what/where/why is --targetsparc (unknown option)?
