2005 -------
I am trying to import a Word 97 (6 MB) file with several images embedded. Each
image has a 1 pt black boarder around it.
When opening this file in OOo 1.9.71, everything is OK (much better than with
1.2!!), except the borders aroun the images. The distance between border and
object is set to 0.26 cm (approx 1/10th of an inch) which results in a white
space between the image and the border, whereas in Word, the border touches the
image.
Changing the distance between Border and Object through the Format menu,
immediately fixes the problem.
Because this feature (leave space between image and border) does not exist in
Word (97 through 2003), I think default value is used when importing the file.
However, default value should be 0 instead of 0.26 cm

All the best
