Ok, so the original problem is solved by using the proper font. There are two
remaining issues:
- why didn't glyph fallback work for the fractions
- should we implement "auto glyph fallback", i.e. converting e.g. U+00BE (a.k.a
3/4 fracture) into '3','/','4'
