Run soffice

Go to Tools > Options > View - uncheck use system font for user interface

Quit OO.o and run soffice again

Now the background color of backing window will turn into white instead of the
greyish color it had. Where does it come from. If you again check that 'use
system...' the greyish color will come back.

???
