------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Sep 14 05:08:33 -0700 2005 ------- These steps explain the problem: 1. You have a document with an auto built table of contents 2. Press Ctrl-A to select all text 3. Select the Format meu 4. All formating options are disabled This I assume if becuase you shouldn're really be formating the Table of Contents as it draws its information from elsewhere. The problem however is now it becomes difficult and dedious to apply whole document changes. Eg to change the text language or to change the font globaly. Yes I guess a better handling of styles would achieve that. The bottom line is that it is not intuative to disable these menu entries just because an auto generated table is selected. Suggestions: - Allow the selection of all text but only apply those changes to the text outside of the table. - Display some kind of warning (just not sure when you would do this). Perhaps after the settings are made. "Changes were not made to the Table of Contents. Use blah blah to make changes to there." --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
