------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Sep 14 12:02:02 -0700 2005 ------- Hi all, Maybe I'm the one to blame, when talking about confusion. I was the first to mention file-protection, when philosophying about the problem and possible quick solutions for the user. So the question is not about keeping password-protection on file level. The wish is: keep password-protection in sheet/workbook level on a save as. (NB The Help associated with the Tools|Document protection |Sheet/Workbook, is the explanation for file-protection. Anyway in the Dutch 1.1.2 / 1.9.125) If it is technically hard, one could consider to ask, at a save-as action, for the password that is used for sheet/workbook protection. Fairly easy, and thus only the one who knows the password, is able to remove it. Reading the issues, mentioned bij Niklas (8426 and 29387), as well as # 402, I do not get the idea that the question as raised in this issue 54587, has been considered closely. It's about keeping the workbook (not password-) protected for different file formats. Isn't it?
