------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Sep 15 20:04:47 -0700 2005 ------- I updated as patch-#i42998# so that everyone can test, but OOopener is not here. o no longer use PKGFORMAT as osx, use portable instead. .pkg is too hard for us to handle and portable generates packages in tar format. we can extract and manipulate very easily. a. creating mpkg is somewhat problematic for Panther. it seems to be a bug of Panther and workaround doesn't seem to be known. (I haven't tested yet on Panther though) b. installer creates files at /Volumes/ directly and we cannot change this dir. Very problematic. o make fheckel's patch much more cleaner and robust. a. better use of hdutil. we no longer calculate the capacity needed. and we can create with one line command. fheckl: also ssa reported, and OOopener doesn't work for me.
