2005 -------
build m129 with gcj/gcc4 on GNU/Linux sparc

lgodard: i deleted OOo and .openoffice.org2,

when I reinstalled OOo it created .openoffice.org2/user, no fonts directory

the FontOOo wizard runs completely OK and created a new
.openoffice.org/user/fonts with only mseula.txt although the fonts are all seen
in /tmp/fontooo, they are not added in OOo

I can install fonts from debian msttcorefonts with spdamin - no problems.

I suggest you only use this as a clue and look for confirmation, since it is my
own build and strange things happen on sparc too...
