I did my own tests with 2.0 (1.9.m125) German version WIN XP:
[680m125(Build8947)] and can confirm (more or less) the discussed effects.
But this is not a Presentation issue, you see quite the same effects in CALC
itself, pls see attached 'testsheet.ods'.
The reported "rotation of background colour together with text orientation"
seems to be the quite normal behaviour and has nothing to do with text size,
bold or other special details.
I can not decide whether that behaviour is "as designed" or a real bug. To me it
seems to be in accordance to users needs, and I liked that behaviour of
background colour, but - of course - other users might have other needs.
I also checked with 1.1.4 (German) WIN XP: [645m52 (Build 8824)] and saw the
same behaviour as in 2.0Beta2
