------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Sep 26 22:14:28 -0700 2005 ------- OK. But can't you consider the possibility that somebody sent you one of these "HTML wrapped as XLS" files and you need to open and edit it? Note the fact that even the MS Excel VIEWER can't open it. In fact, I have another file, that I'm attaching (2.xls) that is a properly formatted XML-embedded XLS file. Consider this idea for a new feature: Everytime OOo opens an XLS file, it checks its contents, and if it finds out that it is an HTML-embedded (like stories_overview_2005-06-6.xls) or XML-embedded (like 2.xls) XLS file, it displays a dialog box saying something like: "It appears that this is a Microsoft Excel XML file. Would you like to open it in Calc or in Writer?" or something like that, and give the user the possibility to choose how to treat these kind of files? All for the sake of usability ;) ------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Sep 26 22:14:37 -0700 2005 ------- OK.
