I downloaded your test.odt and opened in OOo 1.9.125 in XP SP 2.
It opened 1 page of "asdf" spaced out and a page with a image and caption under
it. Right click on the image showed the context menu no problems.

Try Updating to lastest beta 2 version and see if problem persists
