Such cells are IMHO nonsense. To answer your questions : 1. True, but what's about using your scrollwheel and CTRL key simultaneously ? This will change the zoom factor for the sheet. 2. This is just a setting under tools options spreadsheet. 3. Optimal row height is there for changing the row height to fit all the text to fill just the whole cell in case you have more content as the currently cell height can fit. It has nothing to do with screen resolution and viewable screen size.
