------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Oct 9 14:37:32 -0700 2005 ------- In OOo 1.1 I could use my Evolution addressbook for adressing. In the current version it is unavailable. Other contact databases (Mozilla, Thunderbird, etc) can be used so I assume somewhere in the transition from Ximian to Novell the contact was lost. As many Linux users use Evolution as their PIM, synchronizing with PDA's etc. the Evolution addressbook is kept up to date with other applications and is therefore very important. I hope this regression in behavior is corrected. In the userguide the next sentences are qouted verbatim: "Registering an AddressBook One of the many data sources in OpenOffice.org is an external addressbook. The contents of the data fields are then available, in fields and controls for example. An address book which may be already in use in the system environment is such a data source. For example, an LDAP server, Evolution or a Mozilla/Netscape address book." As it is not possible to achieve I think this is a serious defect which should be corrected asap and until the time the userguide should not give false hope. J.L.
