I probably click right on the cell, maybe 20% of the time out of habit. For every cell that I insert a note on I want the note to always be visible on the spreadsheet and on the final printout. To make the note permanently visible you click right on the cell and select [show note]. For the particular spreadsheet I use, which I complete every week I probably click right on a cell and select [show note] maybe 30 times. Because I do this so frequently sometimes I do it before I have actually inserted the note. This then triggers the bug as described. Of course I could also have been clicking right on the cell and selecting [format cells] or any of the other options. Just the mere fact of clicking right on the cell to view the menu will trigger the bug.

I know how to get round the bug, (don't click right on the cell) however that's not really the point, the fact is clicking right on the cell, maybe formatting the cell then inserting the note should not cause the resizing arrows to vanish on the inserted note.

This bug is 100% reproducible.

Let me know if you need any further information.

Regards
Nick.

------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Oct 9 04:29:17 -0700 2005 ------- I don't understand, why you select a cell with the right mouse button making visible or inserting a note. If you do this with the left mouse button there is
no problem.
