I am still puzzled as to why this problem happens only under KDE. Running Gnome desktop or exporting to eXceed Windows X server work fine. I guess I am going to have to live with this workaround for now. I would be happy to gather more data or run test binaries if that would give you more information. I am currently running the OO 2.0 RC1 level.
