Thanks for the response. What I did not make clear is that I have an
_additional_ user dictionary (labelled "medical") and if I add the words to
that, then the underlining remains. If I add them to the "standard" user
dictionary then they are handled normally. I am collecting the specialised
medical words to add to a Medical_en_AU.dic that I am generating. See issue 
52103

I am now using 2.0RC2 on Mandriva 10.1
