------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Oct 14 08:50:53 -0700 2005 ------- The ruler measurement unit can be set independently of the global measurement unit, but all measurements other than the ruler (including tab stops) use the global measurement unit. This won't resolve the issue, of course, but it might help a few people in the short term who would at least like to use either inches or cm for the ruler while being able to leave the general measurement units on pts for working with the style. It might also help to state that I believe there are 72 pts per inch.
