Fedoras OOo Build that doesn't use the default places for storing binarys 2.) OOo using a thunderbird User profile which does not contain a valid certificate. Here are the solutions : 1.) Use the builds from OOo directly. These builds will work. 2.) Use a profile which contains a valid certificate. OOo uses the profile for thunderbird 1.0.x series, it seems that thunderbird 1.5 uses a different profile. You may point the office to this profile by using the environment variable MOZILLA_CERTIFICATE_FOLDER Have a look at Issue 47496 for the specified chain OOo uses to find a valid certificate.
