<sigh>
1) As you said in the first line of your report this issue is a duplicate of
multiple ones. It will be closed accordingly.

2) I had a look at the other reports. Sum up: some hardware manufacturers have
non-standard ways to "catch" the UI over their drivers. The problem is that
implementing a special solution for IBM hardware (and some others) would cost to
much for what it brings. We would like to support as much hardware and
environnements as possible. But while we already support a lot of environements,
it is clear that we cannot support ALL of them. Even if it's YOURS!

3) There's a workaround for this. A workaround is not a fix. It's a "work
around". So a little bit complicated but something that works. If it doesn't
work for YOUR system is too bad. Or you made a typo while doing it or you have a
special system (version, hardware) and you may then find help in the users
mailing lists.

4) Statements like "You fix a lot of obscure features" or "Most decision makers
in most big companies are making their decisions while working on Thinkpads."
are off topic. IssueZilla is not a claim board but a bug tracking system.
Facts,facts facts! "Obscure features" is YOUR point of view. Maybe not the point
of view of others. "Most decision makers" are also making their decisions while
sitting on a chair and we don't fix "chair's bugs"... meaning that, you may
avoid statements about marketing, ethic, politic or emotion in the *IssueZilla*.
You can discuss this in the mailing lists.

5) Aparently, it's not a problem with Writer but with the whole OOo in general.
So the component cannot be "word processor"

6) That YOU have a Thinkpad doesn't make YOUR problem a P1 -> downgrading to P3.
