------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Oct 23 10:42:00 -0700 2005 ------- 1. Downloaded OOO2.0 from OpenOffice.org 2. Untar'ed files, all I saw were a bunch of RPM's. I use Slackware 10.2, which doesn't "officially" support RPM, but I have RPM support installed with Slackware. 3. Readme and Readme.html do NOT tell me how to install this program. 4. Online FAQ page at http://user-faq.openoffice.org/faq/ar01s04.html - click on "where can I get documentation on installation?" link takes me to http://user-faq.openoffice.org/faq/ar01s04.html#id2810941. When I click on the "here" link at The following installation and setup guides are available "here" ., I get an Error message stating "no matches to your request were found." 5. I tried rpm -i {individual OOO RPM files} but each one gave me dependency errors. I then tried $ find *.rpm -exec rpm -i --nodeps {} \; and it appeard to be doing something, when I got the shell prompt back then I couldn't find where the program had actually installed anything. Please help!!! Installing Microsoft Office was never this hard or discouraging!
