------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Oct 25 09:28:11 -0700 2005 ------- While using Evolution I opened a file and viewed it then closed the document. However, the file was later removed from the cache directory of evolution. Afterward, attempts to open OpenOffice or view other files from Evolution caused the document recovery dialog to appear. Since the file no longer existed it, obviously, failed recovery. However, until I manually edited the .recently-used file in my user directory, this dialog appeared every time I used OpenOffice. To me this is a bug and OpenOffice should have a reconciliation mechanism to remove errant (no longer valid) entries from the .recently-used file. I use SuSE 9.3 and am using the Novell flavor of OpenOffice 2.0 Beta 2. I primarily use KDE.
