I'm on a WinXP SP2 platform and am unable to open any Microsoft Word files
(.doc type). I get an error message that states:
"Read-Error.
Error loading converter."
I tried 'repairing' the installation and when that failed to fix the problem I
did a complete reinstall and still no luck. I even tried using the 'Converter
Wizard', it works with everything but .doc files too. I had 'OOo_1.1.5' loaded
before and everything worked great but after I uninstalled it and installed
2.0, I started getting this error with the ..doc files.
I've searched the FAQ and online info. but couldn't find any help specific to
this problem.
