------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Oct 28 23:11:38 -0700 2005 ------- 1. display the drawing toolbar (to see what's going on) 2. insert a new slide 3. make sure that the drawing toolbar is selecting the "select" mode (the cursor icon) 4. click title portion of the slide 5. observe that the drawing toolbar now selects the "text" mode (the T icon) 6. type in something, say "abc" 7. click outside the slide. The drawing toolbar automatically comes back to the "select" mode, as expected. If I clicked something, like a picture, (instead of clicking outside the slide), then I'd have selected it. So far so good. 8. click the title portion of the slide 9. hit ctrl+ENTER to move to the body part of the slide 10. now click outside the slide again. Now the drawing tool doesn't go back to the "select" mode. Instead, it's still in the text box mode, and therefore it tries to create a new textbox to the clicked location. When you are writing multiple pages of slides just by using keyboard, the only time you'd use mouse is to select an object on a slide. This problem prevents me from selecting an object efficiently; instead I have to manually choose the "select" mode first, which is annoying. This seems like an usability problem. Microsoft PowerPoint doesn't have this problem. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
