I disagree.
My character map reads:
U+0131 LATIN SMALL LETTER DOTLESS I
[...]
* uppercase is U+0049 LATIN CAPITAL LETTER I
[...]
Basically the same reason why searching for ß matches "ss"... unless a
case-sensitive search is performed.
