------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Nov 2 15:28:19 -0800 2005 ------- Running from an NFS server, a RedHat Linux Enterprise 3 update 5 machine runs soffice. On the workstation these processes start: /opt/local/usrlanl/packages/openoffice.org2.0/program/javaldx /opt/local/usrlanl/packages/openoffice.org2.0/program JREProperties but no x window display for the startup. Other apps display so it is not a display problem. Desktop is gnome. the .openoffice.org2 is created, but that is about it. The processes never time out and have to be killed.
