File seperate issues for your problems.

Apparenty, your file is a word-document, whereas this issue is about regular
plaintext files.
As you write: Kword crashes when trying to open your document, it is hardly a
problem that has anything to do with this issue. It is more likely a broken
document.

Your document and problem will be ignored in this issue. If you want to get it
handled, please file a seperate issue. And BTW: I'd just mail these "german
companies" that they produce unreadable files. If there is no body-text these
things are mostly spam/worms anyway. OOo opens the document fine, but clearly
shows that this company uses a wordprocessor just as an electronic typewriter.

no problem on linux opening the text-file. No matter whether I preselect a
filter or not.
