I tested this issue on M139 which just became available.  What I am seeing is
that opening files with the GTK Chooser always works now, BUT it's still much
slower than the native OOo file manager.

When you click on File-->OPen, GTK Chooser opens quickly and is responsive. 
However, when you select a file the chooser goes away and the panel seems to not
do anything for several seconds and then the document eventually loads into the
panel.  Previously, it wouldn't even do this.  

When I use the native Ooo file manager, documents are much faster in loading.

Do we reopen?  Tested on Quad CPU server with hyper-threading.
