------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Nov 15 14:03:54 -0800 2005 ------- There is a subtle issue when you're opening an SXW document and then saving it in the new ODT format as suggested. This will be a common occurrance for many users while they transfer over to OpenOffice 2 from 1.x. -- 1) Open an SXW document in OpenOffice 2. 2) No need to make any changes. 3) Use Save As and enter a new file name. This is important as this error does not seem to reproduce if you are saving over the top of the same file (using Save or Save As/Yes to Replace). 3) You get a question (Yes/No) prompt dialogue titled: "OpenOffice.org 2.0" with the message text: "This document may contain formatting or content that cannot be saved in the OpenOffice.org 1.0 Text Document file format. Do you want to save the document in this format anyway?" and says that you can: "- Click 'Yes' to save in OpenOffice.org 1.0 Text Document file format." or you can: "- Click 'No' to use the latest OpenDocument file format and be sure all formatting and content is saved correctly." 4) If you click 'No' then you get a Save As dialogue again but this time with OpenDocument Text (.odt) selected in the Save as type drop down list. BUT... Either you get a blank File Name or the file name is the old filename of the document before you changed it in the previous Save As dialogue (step 2 in this bug report). -- This is annoying as I quite often have long filenames and if the dialogues "forget" the name I entered in step 2 then I get frustrated... grrr! ;) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
