ES->AS: I could reproduce this (680m77 on Linux with KDE).
Following combinations of Ctrl+Shift+<characters> show the same behavior;
characters: E,A,D,F,C and 0-9.

Beahivor: instead of the expected function mapped to the shortcut, the character
is outputted in the document and is underlined (not *formatted* underlined but
there's kind of guide line under le character). further inputs produce more or
lesss the same: after a while the typed letters get replaced by square
characters.

Ex (*=Ctrl+Shift): *F*F*F*F gives <square char><underlined F>

This strongly looks like an *IME* input behavior!
