2005 -------
assume a table that sums up the contents of three rows in a fourth row.  
the formula in the the fourth rows are: =sum(<A1:A3>)  
  
when I remove one of the first three lines, then the formula is not  
automatically updated, but a "** Expression is faulty **" is shown in that  
field.  
Note that adding a line, e.g. between the second and third, does update the  
formula, therefore I think is a defect rather than an enhancement or feature.
