Not a program, but mspdb71.dll is in your system path: configure:4404: checking for mspdb71.dll configure:4422: found /cygdrive/c/WINNT/system32/mspdb71.dll configure:4434: result: /cygdrive/c/WINNT/system32/mspdb71.dll That file doesn't belong there and messes up your path.
