------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Nov 25 05:56:56 -0800 2005 ------- - switch to high contrast white (either on Gnome or Windows) - start writer - highlight "Bold" or "Italic" button in "Formatting" toolbar - see the difference to the "Underlined" button. The problem is that the black parts of "Italic" and "Bold" are not black but dark grey. Since by design in high contrast white only black gets exchanged by white, these Bitmaps stay black.
