SBA: I don't understand the problem...
To add a word via context to a dictionary OR to the AutoCorrection list is a
convenience feature to keep you from going the "long" way via 
(1) Tools-Options-Language Settings-Writing Aids..... to ADD or REMOVE entries.
(2) Spellcheck-Options-Edit... (...same dialog...)

You are right, there is no way to remove a word as convenient as when adding it.
What you call "Workaround" is the designed way to get rid of unwanted entries in
the dictionaries. So a t times, all works like designed.

Feel free to write a feature request like "Delete words from dictionary via
context in a NON-misspelled word" or the like.
