Indeed there is still a major problem, but it only affects SOME fonts. I tested others as broken too, including: Avantgarde, Bookman, Helvetica, Lucidatypewriter, New Century Schoolbook, Zapf Chancery, Times, and Palatino. I am not sure I tested EVERY font in the list, but most of them, anyway. I have also not tested this on any other platform but Linux- but it does seem to follow different OS versions and distributions.
